A doom and stoner duo from Linz, Austria, known for lengthy, low-tuned compositions built around a baritone guitar. They released the LP 'pyroclastic storm' in 2016, and contributed the track 'I Hate To Save' to the Weedian compilation 'Trip to Austria,' which surveys the country's stoner and doom underground.
Salisbury, Maryland's Dirt Woman have been cultivating their stoner/doom sound since 2017, drawing from the flat coastal plain of the Eastern Shore to produce music that feels thick, hazy, and unhurried. Dirtweed is a sludge, stoner, and doom metal trio from Rosario, Argentina, consisting of Maximiliano Dana on guitar and vocals, Juan Ignacio Garcia on bass, and Guido Rumi on drums. The band released the Dusk EP (1992) and their sole studio album Transcendence into the Peripheral (1993) on Relapse Records before disbanding shortly after, having never performed live. AllMusic credits them as doom-grind pioneers, and they are widely recognized as forerunners of the funeral doom movement that emerged in subsequent years.
