West Bloomfield death metal act Decimator emerged in 2024 with a sound shaped by Michigan's long tradition of underground extremity. The Detroit-area suburbs have produced some of the Midwest's finest death metal, and this newcomer shows every sign of continuing that lineage.
Warren, Ohio speed/thrash act Decimator storms out of the Mahoning Valley with the stripped-down urgency of classic American speed metal — all burning solos, locked-in rhythm attack, and barely contained aggression. Formed in 2024, they arrive already knowing exactly what kind of band they want to be.
Decimator is a thrash metal band from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, founded in 1999 with the aim of playing fast, aggressive, old-school-influenced thrash. The band released their debut full-length "Killing Tendency" in 2007, followed by "Bloodstained" in 2011, and their third album "Alienist" in January 2020 via Thrash or Death Records. Their music draws on themes of violence, war, psychopathy, and conspiracy.
