The Mad Thrashers from Vannes in Brittany have been delivering thrash metal and grindcore with the unhinged energy their name promises since 2000. Over a quarter century of insane thrashing from the Morbihan coast makes them one of Brittany's longest-running extreme metal acts.
Sioux Falls, South Dakota's The Madness and the Madman have been blending progressive and thrash metal since 2019, building a sound that routes the technicality and shifting tempos of prog through the kinetic aggression of thrash. The More I See formed in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England in 2003 and built a reputation for precision-driven thrash metal informed by progressive touches and sharp modern production. The band's catalog on Earache Records includes the albums The Wolves Are Hungry, The Unholy Feast, Tread the Darker Path, and The Disappearing Humans, the last of which was mixed by producer Scott Atkins and mastered at Abbey Road. Notable for the contribution of guitarist Gizz Butt, the band were active until 2018 and represented a technical thread within the UK heavy metal underground.
