Lawnmower Deth is a crossover thrash band from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, formed in 1987, whose entire output is built around absurdist humor, nonsensical lyrics, and an unapologetic parody of death metal tropes. Their Earache Records debut Ooh Crikey It's... Lawnmower Deth (1990) and its follow-ups Return of the Fabulous Metal Bozo Clowns (1992) and Billy (1993) cultivated a cult following before the band dissolved from declining sales. A reunion beginning around 2008 eventually yielded Blunt Cutters (2022), their first new album in nearly three decades.
Lazaro is a thrash metal band from Rafael Castillo, Buenos Aires, founded by guitarist Jorge Moreno following his departure from the long-running Argentine thrash act Serpentor. The band carries on the tradition of socially and politically charged thrash metal from the Greater Buenos Aires underground scene.
Swedish band from Boras that evolved from melodic death/thrash metal origins in 2011 into metalcore territory. Their parasitic name captures the clinging, invasive character of their aggressive sound.
German black/speed/thrash metal act from Dresden, newly formed in 2026 and bringing a triple assault of blackened ferocity, speed metal velocity, and thrash aggression. They represent the newest wave of extreme metal emerging from Saxony.
Greek thrash/groove metal band from Thessaloniki, combining thrash velocity with groove-heavy breakdowns since 2017. Their approach delivers both headbanging speed and crushing rhythmic weight.
Estonian progressive groove/thrash metal band from Tallinn, blending technical complexity with heavy grooves since 2010. Their approach merges prog-inflected structures with the rhythmic punch of groove and thrash metal.
Queens crossover veterans Leeway have been crashing hardcore and thrash together since their reformation in 2012, carrying on a tradition they helped build in the New York underground decades prior. Pit-ready riffs with street-level aggression are their calling card.
Ossining, New York's Left in Ruins pull death metal, thrash, and metalcore into a tightly wound package that has been evolving since 2013. The Hudson Valley band blend aggression and melody without softening the edges of either.
Legacy of Kain is a groove and thrash metal band from Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, featuring guitarists Angelo Torquetto and Karim Serri, both veterans of bands including Doomsday Hymn and Desertor. The band released their debut album I.N.V.E.R.S.O in 2017, sung entirely in Portuguese, followed by Paralelo XI in 2019, and has toured Argentina as part of regional metal festival circuits.
