A thrash metal act from Helsinki, Megamutant has been delivering aggressive, mutation-themed compositions since 2018. The band channels radioactive imagery into rapid-fire Finnish thrash.
Originally active as Megatério from 1986 to 1990, the band reunited in 2006 when all original members crossed paths again at a Slayer concert in São Paulo. Their self-titled comeback album, released in 2008, was recorded at Papiris Studio using compositions written back in 1987, preserving the raw late-eighties thrash aggression that had defined the group's original run.
