The Silent Wedding is a heavy/power metal band from Athens, formed in 2022. Their evocative name lends an air of ceremony and gravity to their powerful metal from the Greek capital.
The Sins of Thy Beloved formed in Bryne, Norway in November 1996, playing gothic and death-doom metal that combined female soprano vocals with male death metal growls, drawing immediate comparisons to contemporaries Tristania and early Theatre of Tragedy. Their debut Lake of Sorrow (1998) on Napalm Records featured prominent violin arrangements that gave the album a distinctly funereal atmosphere.
