Alchimist is a progressive power metal band from São Luís, Maranhão, originally founded in 2014 with roots in classic acts like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest before developing an aggressive, technical sound drawing from Symphony X, Dream Theater, and Angra. The band released their debut EP "The Wisher" in 2016, featuring five tracks including the single "Beyond Darkness," and went on to perform at local shows in Maranhão's growing metal scene.
