Amenra
Formed in Kortrijk in 1999 by vocalist Colin H. van Eeckhout and guitarist Mathieu Vandekerckhove, Amenra built one of Europe's most intense post-metal discographies with their six-album Mass series (2003–2017) on Neurot Recordings and their own Church of Ra imprint. Their live performances — historically accompanied by acts of ritual self-harm on stage — carry an emotional and physical weight described by many as akin to attending a funeral.
