ANCIIENTS
ANCIIENTS is a Canadian progressive sludge metal band from Vancouver, British Columbia, formed in 2011 by vocalist and guitarist Kenny Cook and drummer Mike Hannay. Their debut Heart of Oak (2013) on Season of Mist was widely praised for its blend of progressive rock dynamics with sludge and post-metal heaviness, and Voice of the Void followed in 2016, further cementing their reputation. Beyond the Reach of the Sun arrived in 2024, demonstrating a continued expansion of their textured, heavy sound.
