Anopheles
One of the oldest bands in the Czech heavy metal scene, Anopheles were founded in autumn 1978 in Kladno, with a sound the founding members dubbed 'coal rock' — a local term for their blend of hard rock and heavy metal. Communist-era censors forced the band to briefly operate under the name Laser, but they eventually reclaimed their identity and released albums Snídaně s Bachem (2012) and My Bohemia (2020).
