Bisonte is a stoner/doom/sludge metal band from Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, formed in 2019 by Paulina and Mario as a vehicle for heavy, spiritually charged music. The band released their debut EP, The Beholder, in 2021, and followed it with their first full-length, Mother Tempest, in February 2025, which includes a cover of The Melvins' With Teeth. Their music draws on the slow, crushing traditions of doom and sludge metal with an introspective lyrical focus.
