Blood Oath is a progressive death metal band from Concepción, Chile, formed in 2015, whose sound blends the feral aggression of late-1980s death/thrash with the technical sophistication of early-1990s death metal — often drawing comparisons to Sadus and Pestilence. After establishing themselves with the Malignant Manifesto promo (2015) and the mini-LP The Line Between (2017), they released their debut full-length Lost in an Eternal Silence through Caligari Records in 2023, a record noted for its prominent fretless bass work and complex rhythmic arrangements.
