Burning Witches formed in Brugg, Aargau, Switzerland in 2015, founded by rhythm guitarist Romana Kalkuhl as an all-female heavy and power metal outfit. Their self-titled debut appeared in 2017, and the band quickly established themselves on the European metal circuit, with Dance with the Devil (2020) charting in both Germany and Switzerland. Signed to Napalm Records, they have released six studio albums, including Inquisition in 2025.
