Desaster is a thrash/death metal band from São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, Brazil, with roots stretching back to a group of the same name active from 1986 to 1991 that released demo material including "Live at Rainbow Bar" (1987) and "Hands of Anguish" (1988). The band was revived and continued under the name Face of Desaster from 2011 onward, carrying on the thrash and speed metal tradition of the original lineup.
