Exocrine
Exocrine formed in Bordeaux, France in 2013 under guitarist Sylvain Octor-Perez and have since established themselves as one of the most prolific acts in European technical death metal, signed to Season of Mist after their debut Unreal Existence (2015). Their sound synthesizes the rapid precision of Archspire and Cryptopsy with the progressive leanings of Obscura, producing albums at a consistent pace: Ascension (2017), Molten Giant (2018), Maelstrom (2020), The Hybrid Suns (2022), and Legend (2024). Thematically the band explores philosophy, esotericism, and science fiction, giving their hyper-technical music conceptual weight.
