Into Eternity formed in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1997 and built a reputation for technically intricate progressive death metal that weaves clean harmonized vocals, growled death metal delivery, and complex time signatures into cohesive song structures. After signing to Century Media Records, the band released a series of albums including Buried in Oblivion (2004) and The Scattering of Ashes (2006), and in 2007 toured North America in support of Dream Theater.
