Juan Ayestas
Juan Ayestas is a technical and melodic death metal project from Villanueva, Cortés, Honduras, formed in 2008 by a solo musician whose themes orbit space, the cosmos, and the unknown. The project released two full-lengths — Sail to the Void (2010) and First Noises at Final Evening (2012) — alongside the shred-driven EP The Solar Flare, before going on hiatus around 2014. The music combines dense death metal riffing with melodic leads and a conceptual framework rooted in astronomical imagery.
