Symphonic Metal
Leaves' Eyes is a German symphonic metal band formed in 2003 by Norwegian vocalist Liv Kristine — formerly of Theatre of Tragedy — and her then-husband Alexander Krull, who fronts the death metal band Atrocity. The band's catalog of nine studio albums, from their debut Lovelorn (2004) through Myths of Fate (2024), draws heavily on Norse mythology and Viking Age themes, with full orchestral arrangements and frequent use of historical narration. Kristine departed in 2016 and was replaced by Elina Siirala, who has remained the band's lead voice since.
