Lip Cream
Lip Cream was a Tokyo hardcore punk band active from approximately 1983 to 1990, widely regarded as one of the most formative and aggressive acts to emerge from Japan's 1980s underground punk scene. The band's dense, fast-attack sound helped push Japanese hardcore away from Western models and toward something rawer and more physically intense, influencing generations of Japanese extreme music. Their output — three EPs, four albums, and numerous compilation appearances — was comprehensively reissued by Relapse Records, cementing their legacy beyond Japan's borders.
