Malignancy formed in Yonkers, New York in 1992 and have remained one of the most technically demanding acts in the New York death metal scene alongside Suffocation and Incantation. Their debut Intrauterine Cannibalism (1999) established their reputation for hyper-fast, surgically precise death metal, with subsequent records Inhuman Grotesqueries (2007), Eugenics (2012), and Discontinued (2024) on Willowtip Records maintaining that uncompromising technical standard over three decades. Their longevity and consistency within a style that demands exceptional musicianship makes them a notable if underground fixture in American death metal.
