Nine Treasures
Nine Treasures is an Inner Mongolian folk metal band formed in 2010 in the Hailar District of Inner Mongolia, China, fusing heavy metal with traditional Mongolian instruments including the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle) and Tuvan-style throat singing. Their self-titled debut in 2013 introduced a sound that combined melodic death metal structures with indigenous music of the Mongolian steppe, and Wisdom Eyes (2017) and Awakening from Dukkha (2021) extended the approach with increasing sophistication. The band signed to Metal Blade Records in 2024, gaining wider international distribution and visibility.
