Ommatidia
Ommatidia was a Parisian gothic and doom metal band formed in 2010 from former members of The Old Dead Tree, blending atmospheric metal, progressive rock, and melancholic gothic structures into what the band itself described as melodic dark metal. The group released two studio albums — In This Life, Or The Next (2011) and Let's Face It (2015) — before disbanding in 2016. Their work was released independently and drew on the French dark metal tradition while incorporating a distinctly modern emotional directness.
