OOMPH!
Oomph! is a German industrial metal band formed in Wolfsburg in 1989 by Dero Goi, Andreas Crap, and Robert Flux, widely regarded as pioneers of the Neue Deutsche Härte genre. Their self-titled debut appeared in 1992, drawing on EBM and electronic body music, but it was the guitar-driven shift on Sperm (1994) that directly influenced the formation of Rammstein, who have repeatedly cited Oomph! as a primary inspiration. Over 14 studio albums spanning three decades, the band pursued an aggressive fusion of heavy riffs, electronic production, and provocative German-language lyrics addressing sexuality, religion, and society.
