Paddy And The Rats
Paddy and the Rats is a Celtic punk band from Miskolc, Hungary, formed in 2008, blending Irish folk, sea shanties, punk rock, and Romani and polka influences into a boisterous working-class sound. Their second album Rats on Board (2009) earned them significant international recognition in Celtic rock circles, winning second place in an annual album poll and making them one of Hungary's most downloaded bands on iTunes that year. The band has since released a prolific run of albums through Napalm Records, including Riot City Outlaws (2017), From Wasteland to Wonderland (2022), and Lord of the Drinks (2024).
