Atmospheric Funeral Doom Metal
Penuria is an atmospheric funeral doom metal project from Santiago, Chile, founded in 2007 by Leonardo Signorelli and later joined by multi-instrumentalist Juan Pablo Sanhueza. Their debut album Vulnerant Omnes, Última Necat, originally self-released in 2011 and reissued on CD by GS Productions in 2015, spans five lengthy compositions exploring the spiritual transition from physical existence toward an eternity without pain, blending clean emotional vocals with guttural elements over slow, melancholic arrangements.
