Phrenesy
Phrenesy play a no-frills thrash metal rooted in the aggressive German and American traditions — think Kreator's intensity crossed with Anthrax's groove — with flashes of death metal adding extra weight to their attack. Vocalist Wendel Aires fronts the Brasília quintet, whose debut album "The Power Comes from the Beer" gave way to the harder-edged "Fears Apocalypse" in 2022, a record whose title was changed from "Beer Apocalypse" during recording as a response to the pandemic's toll on Brazil.
