Phuneral
Regarded as one of the earliest black metal bands to emerge from Rio de Janeiro, Phuneral came together in late 1984 around guitarists Gilson Zumbi and Marcelo Tumor, with Jorge Abominável on bass, Gilson Bruxo on vocals, and Fabio Cadáver on drums. They played the local circuit — venues like Circo Voador and Crepúsculo de Cubatão — until disbanding in 1986, leaving behind only live recordings and photos rather than any studio release.
