Founded in 1992, Poseidon is a power trio — Marco Alexandre (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Belmilson Santos (bass), and Marcelo Soto (drums) — whose songwriting ranges across traditional and progressive heavy metal. Their 2018 album At Dream's Door, a concept record inspired by Neil Gaiman's Sandman and recorded at Sign of Sanity in São Paulo, showcases their ambition through flute, sitar, mandolin, synthesizers, and lyrics drawn from Latin, Greek, and Italian texts.
