Siebenbürgen
Siebenbürgen formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1994, blending melodic black metal with gothic atmospherics and themes drawn from vampirism, darkness, and Nordic folklore. The band secured a deal with Napalm Records on the strength of their 1996 demo Ungentum Pharelis, leading to their debut album Loreia in 1997. Their third album Delictum marked a shift to English-language lyrics and a more pronounced gothic sensibility, a direction they continued through Darker Designs & Images (2005) and Revelation VI (2008). Active across two periods from 1994 to 2009, they remain a notable entry in the Scandinavian gothic-black metal tradition.
