Songleikr
Songleikr is the passion project of Maria Franz, best known as one half of the ritualistic performance group Heilung, exploring Nordic folk traditions through intimate, acoustic arrangements and haunting vocal work. Since 2016, the project has evolved from traditional source material on 'Godtfolk' to more original, progressively structured compositions on 2026's 'Fuglefolk.' Featuring collaborators including Ingrid Galadriel Aune Falch and traditional Nordic instruments, Songleikr offers a deeply personal counterpoint to Heilung's thunderous ceremonial performances.
