Melodic Death Metal
Soul Demise traces its origins to Neumarkt, Bavaria, Germany in 1993 under the name Inhuman, before adopting the current name in 1998. The band's melodic death metal sound is rooted in the Gothenburg school, particularly the influence of At the Gates, filtered through a German perspective. Their debut Beyond Human Perception (2000) was followed by Blind (2005) and Acts of Hate (2009), with the band building their reputation through tours alongside Napalm Death, Immolation, and Dismember. Against the Abyss, released in 2025, marks the band's return after an extended hiatus.
