Summoner's Circle
Summoner's Circle formed in Knoxville, Tennessee in 2015, crafting a theatrically dense blend of doom, black, death, and progressive metal the band describes as 'Epic Metal.' Drawing influence from Dimmu Borgir, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Opeth, the six-piece builds elaborately structured compositions around original mythology and occult imagery. Their 2024 album Cult, released on Black Lion Records, functions as a concept piece confronting organized religion, partly inspired by controversy surrounding a metal festival in their home state.
