Sunn O))) are one of the most influential drone/doom metal acts in the world, formed in Los Angeles in 2000 by Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson as a continuation and expansion of the Earth drone legacy. Their music consists of monolithic walls of heavily amplified guitar feedback and sub-bass rumble that blur the lines between metal, minimalist composition, and ritual sound art.
