Black Metal
Formed in Ghent, Belgium in 2014, Wiegedood — a Dutch term for sudden infant death syndrome — emerged as a side project of members of Amenra and Oathbreaker, including vocalist and guitarist Levy Seynaeve. Their debut De Doden Hebben Het Goed (2015) launched a trilogy of the same name, completed in 2017 and 2018, delivering atmospheric black metal of stark brutality and cascading intensity. Their fourth album There's Always Blood at the End of the Road (2022) shifted thematic focus toward the ugliness of human nature, expanding beyond conventional black metal frameworks.
