Your Inland Empire
Your Inland Empire is a French industrial and post-metal quartet that emerged in 2021 as a rebranding and evolution of the band Crown, the long-running project of Stéphane Azam and David Husser. The name reflects a deliberate departure from the sludge and post-metal roots of Crown toward a broader synthesis of industrial rock, darkwave, and post-metal atmosphere drawing from Nine Inch Nails, Godflesh, and Depeche Mode. Their self-titled debut, released through Season of Mist in November 2025, consists of eleven tracks that balance visceral riffing with melodic hooks and lyrical rawness.
