A Rio de Janeiro outfit formed in 2022 that blends crushing doom and sludge metal with atmospheric black metal textures, releasing material including the demo "Oblivion" and the album "Luz No Fim Do Túnel." The band takes its name from the video game Outer Wilds, reflecting an exploratory aesthetic built on slow, heavy riffs and bleak atmosphere.
Alluring is a solo atmospheric black and doom metal project from Temuco, Chile, active since 2020. The project released its debut demo In the Cold Lips of Eros in 2020, followed by a remastered edition, the EP A Seductive Death, and a 2024 promo titled Kill Me, Alluring Diva. The project's own description centers on themes of "eroticism and agony," placing it within a gothic doom black metal aesthetic uncommon in southern Chile's underground scene.
Dead Limbs was a Brazilian atmospheric black metal and post-metal band formed in 2015 and later split up. Their debut release "Lighthouse," put out through Bichano Records, is a six-track EP recorded, produced, and mixed in a home studio, featuring themes that draw on Greek mythology and hermetism. The band's layered, introspective sound placed them within the DIY Brazilian underground extreme metal scene.
Dispar is a one-person atmospheric black/post-metal project from Parobé, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, formed in 2022 and signed to Dutch label Flowing Downward. The project blends melancholic post-black metal and blackgaze textures, layering high-pitched black metal screams and clean vocals over synth-washed, melodic guitar work. Their debut full-length Autumn Ends was released in October 2023 and explores themes of depression, loss, and longing.
Melencolia I is a one-man project by guitarist and multi-instrumentalist João P. Amorim Xavier, weaving together atmospheric black metal, doom, shoegaze, and progressive metal into a dense philosophical framework that the artist describes as exploring the depths of human existence through poetic themes. The project released the EP "Introspective Violence" in early 2026, following the earlier full-length "Hermitage."
