Seth is a French black metal band founded in Bordeaux in 1995, emerging as one of the leading acts of the French extreme metal underground with their 1998 debut Les Blessures de l'Âme. The band's sound balances hauntingly melodic passages with aggressive orthodox black metal structures, and their lyrical themes draw from religious transgression, historical atrocity, and French cultural mythology.
