West Flanders one-man project Taranis was founded in 2005 by Björn Desmet as a vehicle for authentic old-school black/thrash metal rooted in Flemish paganism and occult themes. After releasing the self-titled debut in 2007 and Flandriae in 2008 on Iron Pegasus Records, the band lay dormant for over a decade before returning with the album Postmortem Spheres.
