BASTARÐUR is a death metal and crust punk band from Iceland, formed in 2018 by Sólstafir guitarist and vocalist Aðalbjörn Tryggvason alongside Birgir Jónsson. The project channels the raw energy of Entombed-style Swedish death metal filtered through crust punk and Motörhead-influenced heaviness, with lyrics more antagonistic than Tryggvason's primary work. Their debut album Satan's Loss of Son was released in October 2021 on Season of Mist, featuring guest vocal contributions from Marc Grewe and Alan Averill of Primordial.
