Insanity was a death/thrash metal band from Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, formed in 1989 under the name HON (Hexistence of Noise) by bassist/vocalist George Frizzo and guitarist Alberto Lopes before adopting the Insanity name later that year. The band released the demo "In Search of Reason" in 1990, recorded at Proaudio Studios in Fortaleza, and later issued the full-length "Phobia" in 1993 through Muvuca Records before splitting up in 2003.
Insanity Seas is a doom/death/sludge metal project from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, conceived by Henrique and Love Streit and active since 2021. Drawing lyrical inspiration from the cosmic horror fiction of H.P. Lovecraft, the band channels oppressive, slow-grinding riffs into an atmosphere of dread rooted in Lovecraftian mythology.
Insulter was a Brazilian death/thrash metal band from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, formed in 2012, working in the same extreme underground tradition as early local acts like Sarcófago and Sextrash. Their demo recordings were compiled and released in 2015 by Nuclear War Now! Productions on the album "Blood Spits, Violences and Insults," which also appeared on Iron Bonehead Productions in a gatefold LP edition.
Into Morphin is a death/black metal band from Teresina, Piauí, Brazil, active since 2021. The band's confirmed lineup includes Mvreisc on vocals, Yansilva and Padua Belo on guitars, Maxribeiro on bass, and Helio on drums, making them one of the few extreme metal acts operating out of Brazil's northeastern state of Piauí.
Inverted Cross Cult is a death/doom/sludge metal band from Porto Feliz, São Paulo, Brazil, featuring Diego Rodrigues on vocals and guitar, Guilherme Hespanhol Rufus on guitar, Viny Bial on bass, and Henrique Antunes on drums. The band released their self-titled debut album in October 2016, followed by the demo "Beyond the Towers of Silence" in 2018, with lyrical themes drawing from occultism, H.P. Lovecraft, and horror.
Jupiterian are a sludge/death/doom metal band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2013, known for crafting an oppressively heavy sound that fuses cavernous death doom with oozing, soul-crushing sludge. Their debut EP Archaic arrived in 2014, followed by the full-lengths Aphotic (2015) and Terraforming (2017), before they signed to Transcending Obscurity for Protosapien (2020), widely praised as their most focused and accomplished record.
Kadavro is a death/thrash metal band from Neuquén, Argentina, whose members perform under pseudonyms El Cadaver, G.G, Machacador, and Weedfinder. They released two records in 2021 — Evil Entities from the Hidden Past through Evil Damnations Records, and Paladar Negro — before following up with Procession of Evil in 2024.
Keter is a death/thrash metal band from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, featuring vocalist Bawdy, guitarists George Lessa and Yury Duplat, bassist Fagner Nascimento, and drummer Renato Corpse. The band released a self-titled demo in 2008 and the live EP Caçadores das Trevas in 2009, and was elected the best metal band in Bahia by readers of Whiplash in 2010. Koma is a death/black metal and grindcore band from São Paulo, Brazil, operating under an explicitly antifascist, anarchist, and communist ethos. The band released their debut EP "Sinfonia da Desgraça," which blends grindcore, deathgrind, black metal, and sludge metal influences. They are active on Bandcamp under the handle koma5 and present their sound as a direct fusion of extreme music with radical political conviction.
