Cadaver was formed in Norway in 1988 by guitarist Anders Odden and drummer Ole Bjerkebakke, releasing Hallucinating Anxiety in 1990, widely regarded as the first Norwegian death metal album. The band returned as Cadaver Inc. in 1999, releasing the aggressive and conceptually irreverent album Discipline in 2001, before dropping the Inc. suffix and releasing Necrosis in 2004.
