Anarkhon

Anarkhon is a death metal band from Guarulhos, São Paulo, founded in 1999, who survived the tragic loss of original vocalist Péricles Hooper to a hit-and-run accident and continued with guitarist Aron Romero — also of black/thrash act Power From Hell — taking over vocal duties. Their early work, including albums "Obesidade Mórbida" (2007) and "Welcome to the Gore Show" (2013), delivered brutal, gore-drenched death metal, before the band evolved toward a more atmospheric and cerebral sound on "Phantasmagorical Personification of the Death Temple" (2020, Debemur Morti Productions), blending cavernous death metal with black metal textures and H.P. Lovecraft-inspired cosmic horror themes.
