Abandono is a depressive black metal (DSBM) project from Santa Catarina, Brazil, formed in 2014. The band operates within Brazil's active DSBM underground, crafting minimalist, emotionally desolate black metal with an emphasis on atmosphere and introspection over technical aggression. Absence of Life is a depressive black metal solo project originating in Minsk, Belarus, with all instruments and vocals handled by the sole member Forladt. The project has released the album "The Fall" (2018), organized as three chapters titled Pain, Despair, and Emptiness, as well as the demo and later full-length "Alive... to Suffer" (2022).
