Blackcircle are a Santiago-based experimental progressive metal band signed to Australis Records, a Chilean label dedicated to metal from the southern tip of the world. Their album "Requiem in Silence," recorded by brothers Jorge and Raúl Drolett, is an eight-track work blending experimental death metal with black metal atmospheres, released as a 200-copy digipack CD through Australis Records.
Corja is an experimental metal band from Goiânia, Brazil, known for blending death metal, thrash, hardcore, and punk into a politically charged and subversive sound that resists easy genre classification. The band has been active since the late 1990s and has released multiple albums including “Justiça Au Go Go” (2012) and “...E Tudo Vai Piorar” (2025), with lyrics exploring themes of politics and social critique. Their influences span Meshuggah, Fear Factory, and Slipknot, and they are recognized as one of the more adventurous acts in the Goiânia extreme metal underground.
Formed in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2007, iwrestledabearonce became known for extreme genre collisions within single songs, juxtaposing mathcore, deathcore, jazz, synthpop, and country in ways that divided critics and built a devoted cult following. Their 2009 album It's All Happening reached number one on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart; across four full-lengths and nine years together, the band remained one of the more genuinely unpredictable acts in experimental extreme metal.
Mar Muerto is an experimental metal band from Antofagasta, Chile, formed in 2017. Rooted in heavy metal, the band incorporates experimental touches spanning classical music, progressive structures, and black metal influences. Their 2020 EP Shub-Niggurath, a seven-track release drawing on Lovecraftian themes, stands as their primary recorded output to date.
Vverevvolf Grehv is the solo project of Dapose, a musician from Omaha, Nebraska best known as a member of the electronic act The Faint, combining death metal brutality, speed metal tempos, and industrial noise with the structural logic of IDM and electronic music. Signed to Relapse Records in 2007, the project released its sole album Zombie Aesthetics in 2008, a confrontational and genre-defying record that found a place in both the metal underground and experimental electronic circles. The band subsequently toured with Skinny Puppy.
