Kamikaze is a heavy metal and hard rock band from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, originally formed in 1984 and reactivated in 2016. The band released a self-titled EP in 1986 featuring the track "Machado de Guerra," which became an anthem for an entire generation of Brazilian metal fans, and followed it with the full-length Kamikaze II in 1990 on Cogumelo Records. A 2023 reissue collected both early records alongside six previously unreleased tracks from 1994.
Kavla is a heavy metal and hard rock band from São Paulo, Brazil, with origins dating to 1992. The band released the album Dream or Reality in 1995 and returned after a hiatus with Surreal in 2008, building a catalog rooted in melodic traditional heavy metal. Their current lineup features Thiago Cicilini on vocals, Sandro Silva and Fábio Silva on guitars, Carlos Ceroni on keyboards, Marcelo Eiger on bass, and Nina Pará on drums.
Khannas is a southern/groove metal band from San Rafael, Mendoza, Argentina, whose debut release was the EP Lengua de Diablo, issued on January 31, 2016. The four-track EP — containing "Bordeando abismos," "Resiste el olvido," "Memorias latentes," and "Lengua de diablo" — was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Aire Records by Facundo Lucero, with all compositions written by Fernando Ferre.
Kill Devil Hill is an American heavy metal supergroup assembled in 2011, anchored by Pantera bassist Rex Brown and Black Sabbath/Dio drummer Vinny Appice alongside vocalist Dewey Bragg and guitarist Mark Zavon. The band released a self-titled debut in 2012 and Revolution Rise in 2013, drawing on a classic heavy rock template shaped by the members' histories in foundational metal bands. Subsequent lineup changes — including the departure of Appice and later Brown — continued through the band's third album Seas of Oblivion in 2023.
Kings of Mercia is a hard rock supergroup formed in 2021 by Fates Warning guitarist Jim Matheos, whose melodic songwriting found its counterpart in the voice of Steve Overland of British AOR veterans FM. Rounding out the lineup are drummer Simon Phillips (Toto, The Who) and bassist Joey Vera (Armored Saint), giving the project considerable pedigree across classic rock and metal. The band debuted with a self-titled album in 2022 on Metal Blade Records, followed by Battle Scars in 2024.
Kissin' Dynamite is a German heavy metal band formed in 2007 in Baden-Württemberg, originally a school band that named themselves after an AC/DC song. They debuted with Steel of Swabia (2008) and released a steady run of albums — including Addicted to Metal, Money Sex and Power (2012), and Megalomania (2014) — built around anthemic songwriting rooted in classic hard rock and melodic metal. The band has remained consistently active through the mid-2020s, releasing Generation Goodbye (2016) and several subsequent records.
Knock Out is a heavy metal and hard rock band from Buenos Aires, Argentina, formed in 2013. They released the eleven-track album "Sin Vergüenza" in May 2015, and later appeared on the CROM Records compilation "CR 021 — Nuestro Infierno" (2021) with the track "Pisando Fuerte". The band operates as an independent act and maintains an active presence on Bandcamp.
Kris Barras Band is a British hard rock outfit formed in 2015 in Torquay, Devon, led by guitarist and vocalist Kris Barras, a former mixed martial arts competitor. The band blends classic hard rock, blues rock, and Southern rock influences, signing to Mascot Label Group and releasing The Divine and Dirty (2018) and Light It Up (2019) in quick succession. Death Valley Paradise (2022) debuted at number 27 on the UK Albums Chart, and Halo Effect followed on Earache Records.
Krystal Tears was a melodic heavy metal and hard rock band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, formed in 2000. The quintet — Roberto Sans (vocals), Davis Ramay (guitar), Diego Padilha (bass), Rigel Romeu (keyboards), and Leonardo Peccatu (drums) — released a self-titled demo in 2001 and their debut full-length A Brand New Life in 2005, a 13-track album running over an hour in length.
