Mistreated channels the classic 80s heavy metal and hard rock sounds of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath through a modern lens, built around the chemistry between vocalist Henrique Radünz and guitarist Emanuel Murialdo. The band recorded their debut album Brand New Rust (2021) entirely independently at Load Studio Audio and Video in Pelotas, funding the sessions through cover show performances.
Formed by guitarist/vocalist Wallas Ribeiro, bassist Murilo da Silva, and drummer Gustavo Silveira, Monolito blends groove-heavy riffing with progressive structures and hard rock roots. Their 2023 album Voice of Rage, produced by Gustavo Vasquez at RockLab studio, showcases a denser and darker direction across eleven tracks while retaining the melodic sensibility that defines the band.
Formed in Red Bank, New Jersey in 1989 by vocalist and guitarist Dave Wyndorf, Monster Magnet helped establish the template for stoner rock with their debut Spine of God (1991) and Superjudge (1993). Their 1998 album Powertrip crossed into mainstream success, earning a gold certification and placing the single Negasonic Teenage Warhead on heavy MTV rotation. Wyndorf remains the sole consistent member across eleven studio albums, and the band is widely credited as one of the genre's founding acts.
Born in Longview, Texas, Monte Pittman is a guitarist best known as Madonna's long-standing live bandleader, having joined her touring operation in 2001, while also serving as bassist and composer for Prong and later Ministry. His solo career, launched with The Deepest Dark in 2009, explores hard rock and heavy metal, with seven albums released including the concurrent 2018 releases Between the Space and Better or Worse, which demonstrated the range of his songwriting across aggressive and acoustic styles.
Founded in New York City in 2009 by vocalist Ann Courtney, Mother Feather play a hard rock style that blends glam punk, 1990s alt-rock energy, and vintage rock and roll. The band released their self-titled debut on Metal Blade Records in 2016 and followed it with Constellation Baby in 2018, with critics drawing comparisons to Yeah Yeah Yeahs and T. Rex. Their third album KICK3R appeared independently in 2024.
Motorbastards are a Motörhead-devoted power trio from Curitiba led by bassist and vocalist Carlão Bastard, whose rumbling low-end and raspy delivery draw unmistakable parallels to Lemmy Kilmister. The band channels classic rock 'n' roll aggression through a speed metal lens, and their debut album of original material, 'Divisão Rock N Roll,' sold its entire limited pressing within a year of release.
Myles Kennedy, vocalist of Alter Bridge and frequent collaborator of guitarist Slash, launched his solo career in 2018 with Year of the Tiger, a stripped-back acoustic blues album that served as a concept record about his father's death in 1974, released on Napalm Records. The album departed significantly from the arena hard rock of his band projects and was widely praised by critics. He followed it with The Ides of March (2021) and The Art of Letting Go (2024), establishing a solo catalog that runs parallel to but distinct from his collaborative work.
Formed in Rio Grande in 2018 by vocalist Miro Cheyenne and guitarist Maikão, Nasty n' Loaded play a hard-driving blend of classic heavy metal, hard rock, and punk that draws from both the NWOBHM tradition and the rawer end of the hard rock spectrum. Their 2025 album Day Is Gone, featuring a five-piece lineup, stretches across twelve tracks including "Flesh and Bone" and the closing "Angel of Fire".
Older Jack are a heavy metal and hard rock band from the German-heritage city of Pomerode in Santa Catarina, whose album Metal Uber Alles — a tongue-in-cheek nod to the genre's grand traditions — arrived as a limited CDr release. Their sound sits squarely in the classic heavy metal tradition, drawing on the melodic riff-driven energy that defined the genre in its formative decades.
