M.O.D. (Method of Destruction) was formed in New York in 1986 by vocalist Billy Milano following his tenure with crossover pioneers S.O.D., delivering a caustic fusion of thrash metal, hardcore punk, and satirical lyricism. Their debut U.S.A. for M.O.D. (1987) on Megaforce Records—partly produced by Scott Ian of Anthrax—established the template for their abrasive, politically charged output across eight studio albums. Milano has remained the sole consistent member through multiple hiatuses, with the band persisting into the 2010s as one of New York's defining crossover acts.

A one-person DIY project blending thrash, hardcore, and grindcore with a deliberately absurdist sensibility, Marafo de Exú debuted in 2016 with the 16-track album "Diabólico Alcoólico," a chaotic slab of short, fast songs delivered with raw, lo-fi ferocity. The project also released a live recording from Destroy Music Now Fest 3, capturing the same unfiltered intensity in a live setting.

Formed in Bergenfield, New Jersey in 1986, Mucky Pup played crossover thrash and hardcore with a comedic bent, debuting with Can't You Take a Joke? (1988) on Torrid Records. A Boy in a Man's World (1989) brought the band broader recognition in Europe, where they toured extensively and charted, and they subsequently signed to Century Media Records for Act of Faith (1992). The band went through multiple lineup and stylistic changes before disbanding in the mid-1990s.
