Frigid Black Metal / Industrial from Weslaco.
Ferocious Industrial / Thrash / Groove Metal from Phoenix, Arizona (early); Austin, Texas (later).
Newington, Connecticut industrial and progressive metal project. The occultist philosopher's name paired with a year for boundary-crossing heaviness.
Cleveland doom/industrial metal project merging crushing heaviness with mechanical, electronic textures. Two releases since 2023 explore the intersection of organic doom weight and synthetic industrial menace.
Lynden/Custer industrial project from the Washington underground.
Black metal and industrial project that migrated from Carroll, Iowa to Omaha. Their catalog spans nearly two decades — from 2006's Beautiful Darkness to 2025's Might As Well Praise Dirt — tracing a long arc of genre-blending extremity across the Great Plains.
Bodychoke was an experimental noise rock outfit active from 1993 to 1999, operating as a side project of British power electronics group Sutcliffe Jugend. Their sound combined heavy, repetitive bass-and-drum riffs with dense layers of distorted guitar noise and vocals ranging from deep murmurs to deranged screaming, with later albums incorporating cello as both melodic and ambient texture. Notable releases include Mindshaft, produced by dub musician Ott, and the Steve Albini-produced Five Prostitutes, both records that situated Bodychoke within the UK's most extreme noise and industrial underground.
Relentless Industrial Metal from Austin.
Circle of Animals formed in Chicago around 2010 as a collaborative industrial metal project between Sanford Parker (Minsk, Nachtmystium) and Bruce Lamont (Yakuza), explicitly conceived as a tribute to the late-1980s and early-1990s Wax Trax! industrial scene. The project operates with a rotating cast of guest drummers, including Steve Shelley, Dave Witte, and John Herndon, while Parker and Lamont handle all other instrumentation. Their debut album Destroy the Light was released on Relapse Records in 2010.
