Matarte is a three-piece metal band from Punta Alta, Buenos Aires, Argentina, formed around 2013, consisting of vocalist Ulises Kaliléc, guitarist/bassist Jonathan Bazan, and drummer Agnatne Ajeivut. The band released their album "Sangra Maldad Eterna" on June 6, 2020, a ten-track record recorded, mixed, and mastered at Tumumu Untungu Home Studio in Punta Alta. Their sound blends melodic death and thrash metal with occult lyrical themes, as heard on tracks like "Dioses Muertos" and "Sacrificio Infernal".
A one-man project helmed by Matheus Leonel, previously of Midnight Loss, Morphin merges the languishing weight of funeral doom with melodic death metal's emotional melodicism. The project inhabits a space between isolation and fragile beauty, shaped entirely by Leonel's solo compositional vision.
Myrkgand is essentially a one-man project driven by Dmitry Luna, whose 2017 debut album enlisted guest appearances from members of Symphony X, Novembers Doom, Mystifier, and Korzus to flesh out its mythology-drenched blend of melodic death, black, and folk metal. The 2022 follow-up Rituals & Wisdom was recorded in Oslo and Lisbon with Øystein Brun of Borknagar producing, pushing the project's ambitions into genuinely international territory.
