Dignity is a melodic power metal band from Vienna, Austria, formed in 2006. Their debut album Project Destiny (2008) featured Jake E., later of Amaranthe, on vocals, while their second record Balance of Power (2013) introduced vocalist Søren Adamsen and drew critical praise for its density of memorable tracks. Founding members included musicians with ties to the Austrian prog-metal band Edenbridge. The band was active until approximately 2017.

Lunatica was founded in Suhr, Switzerland in the winter of 1998, quickly establishing themselves in the European symphonic metal scene with their debut Atlantis (2001). The band earned early recognition by winning the Best Newcomers award at the Swiss metal festival Metaldayz, and continued with Fables & Dreams (2004), The Edge of Infinity (2006), and New Shores (2009) on Napalm Records. Their orchestral arrangements and melodic vocal approach place them within the Nightwish and After Forever tradition of European symphonic metal.

Mehida was formed in Finland in 2006 by ex-Sonata Arctica keyboardist Mikko Harkin, featuring Thomas Vikström—also known for his work with Therion and Candlemass—on vocals. Their debut Blood & Water (2007) entered the Finnish top 40 charts at number 23, demonstrating a commercial accessibility unusual for progressive melodic metal, and was followed by The Eminent Storm in 2009. The band became inactive shortly after, leaving a brief but notable catalog that reflected the high musicianship standards of the Finnish progressive metal scene.

Scar of the Sun is an Athenian melodic metal band formed in 2004, originally active in London before establishing themselves in Greece with a sound that evolved from atmospheric modern metal toward a blend of metalcore, djent, and melodic groove metal. After releasing their first two albums A Series of Unfortunate Concurrencies and In Flood on Scarlet Records to favorable reviews, the band signed to Napalm Records and released Inertia in May 2021. The band has toured alongside acts including Dark Tranquillity, Paradise Lost, and Pain of Salvation, and headlined the Greek summer festival Rockwave.
